The current economic and political situations in the world determine a special vector of development of new technologies, including digital financial assets, which, in turn, attract more and more attention from issuers and investors. The regulator, represented by the Bank of Russia, has been actively supporting this topic throughout the formation of the Russian digital financial assets market through legal regulation, as well as minimizing possible risks. In the context of turbulence and global economic changes, the study of digital financial assets allows us to understand how they can transform the financial sector, improve the availability of financial services and promote technological innovation. The work consists of two semantic parts. The first part pays special attention to the legal regulation of the digital financial assets market. The second part reviews the practical results, achievements, and restrictions existing in the digital financial assets market as of August 2025.The data analysis in this article was carried out from public sources, data posted on the website of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the specified operators, as well as from press releases.
