Возможности генеративного искусственного интеллекта для проверки академических текстов на английском языке
The paper aims to assess the potential of generative AI for evaluating and providing feedback on academic texts based on criteria that account for the features of anglosaxon academic discourse. Twenty texts in the "Project Proposal" format were evaluated both by an experienced instructor and by generative AI. The scores assigned were analyzed statistically, and the feedback was analyzed thematically. It was found that AI is capable of identifying strengths and weaknesses in students' work and generating feedback based on the criteria; however, the level of agreement between AI and expert scores was low, and the formats of feedback provision differed significantly. The integration of AI can help standardize assessments and facilitate educational analytics, but to ensure reliable evaluation and personalized feedback, the expertise of an instructor is necessary.
