In the article the author attempts to study one of the most notable offensive operations of the Red Army troops during the Civil War in the Ural territory — the raid in June-July 1919 of two brigade tactical groups of the 26th Rifle Division (the 5th Army of the Eastern Front) under the Division Commander G.Kh. Eihe into the rear strip of the Western Army of the armed forces of Admiral A.V. Kolchak.
