Absolutely True Happiness: актуализация концепта HAPPINESS в романе Шермана Алекси «The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part‑Time Indian»
The article is devoted to identifying the specifics of the representation of the concept of happiness in Sherman Alexie's teen novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Scientific novelty is determined by the use of an integral model that combines frame-semantic analysis and an updated paradigm of speech acts. The four-link scheme of the happiness frame (the experiencing subject, trigger, emotional reaction, value result) is reconstructed and additional slots "value conflict" and "breakdown of happiness" are identified, reflecting the cultural duality of the Indian hero. The field environment of the concept is classified into five semantic groups; high cognitive plasticity of the category is recorded. Pragmatic analysis revealed the dominance of expressives-evalantives and softened directives, which indicates an adolescent strategy of masking positive feelings. The obtained results expand the understanding of the functioning of teleonomic concepts in artistic communication and form the basis for further comparative studies of literature for young readers.
