Стандартизация шугнанского алфавита: теория и практика
The article is devoted to the problem of standardization of the alphabet for the Shughni language, a burning issue for the Shughni people of Tajikistan. Although de facto Shughni has been used in writing for a long time now, it still does not have a stable orthography. One of the reasons for this is not the lack of writing systems, but, on the contrary, the abundance of various options for alphabets created by scholars, book publishers and simply language enthusiasts. Thus, speakers are faced with the task of standardization, and these days special attention in standardization should be paid to the use of the alphabet on electronic devices. In the article, I present a project of a standardized Shughni alphabet, as well as practical tools and recommendations for comfortable use of this alphabet on computers. I hope that this text will be useful for everyone interested in the problems of the Shughni orthography, and especially scholars, publishers and writers in Tajikistan.
