Application of an Adaptive Domain-Specific Interface in a Decision-Support System for Planning Railroad Technical Services
The use of intelligent systems with advanced AI algorithms is a key aspect of enterprise digitalization. The railway domain is not an exception. We argue, that the quality of any AI-based system greatly depends on the methods of computer-human interaction. We propose an approach to organize the interaction of the end user with the AI-based system through a domain-specific language with a specific feature – the language can continuously adapt to the new requirements of end users without the need to recreate the system as a whole. This allows not only to simplify the process of creating domain-specific interfaces, but also to make the process of making changes to the DSL and the corresponding AI-based system independent, but coordinated. Applicability of the approach is demonstrated using a real-life example of a resource allocation task in the railway transportation.
