This report is devoted to the analysis of capabilities and background forthe application of artificial intelligence in dispute resolution. It presents major difficulties, which we will face during artificial intelligence development
for the litigation sphere. In the course of describing general difficulties with artificial intelligence development, the author pays attention to current procedural problems in this field. It is also analyzed in the article, how artificial
intelligence may be used in the judicial sphere: from technical assistance for judges to independent issuing orders. At last, based on the study of various ways to use artificial intelligence technologies in litigation, the author provides conclusions regarding prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in courtrooms and regarding the possibility of judges’ replacement by artificial intelligence in the near future.
