The paper is devoted to the significance of the Spanish Constitution of 1812 for the formation of the political and legal ideas of the Decembrists and their constitutional projects.
The book is devoted to the main pages in the evolution of Spanish constitutionalism - the Spanish constitutions. Each of them became a stage in the formation of a national constitutional tradition. Constitutional texts were translated from Spanish into Russian by the author of the book.
The paper, published in the year of the 190th anniversary of the Spanish Constitution, which became a foundation for the constitutional development of the country, analyzes its formal and substantive characteristics, determined by the socio-political background of its development, borrowing foreign examples and ideas of its creators. The author pays attention to the place of the Constitution of 1812 in the following political and legal development of Spain, its importance for the development of constitutional ideas and legislation in other countries.
