The Influence of Flexible Bending on the Electrodynamic Characteristics of RFID Tags
P. 1-4.
In this paper, we study the effect of the bending effect on the electrodynamic characteristics of the RFID tag. The simulation of RFID tags with a more complex topology was carried out. An antenna based on a circular meander line was taken as the basis of the tag and its reduced model was presented. The results of the study allow us to see the negative changes in the electrodynamic characteristics during flexible deformations. This will allow to take into account during design and production the features of the behavior of RFID tags during operation (transportation, wear, etc.) in order to increase the likelihood of reading tags under adverse operating conditions.

Simulation of RFID tag AZ-9654 with known topology was carried out. To study the electrodynamic parameters, several states of the tag were simulated: basic, as well as with flexible bends (on cylindrical and rectangular
surfaces).
The results of the study show changes in the electrodynamic characteristics (radiation pattern, S11 parameter, VSWR) with flexible deformations of the relative ...

This paper presents the results of modeling a passive RFID tag MG6 in the range of 860-960 MHz with a known topology, focused on identification applications of tagged objects. The tag is located on a flexible substrate, which entails changes in the electrodynamic characteristics during flexible deformations. The most typical forms of flexible deformations during ...

This paper discusses an important component of the radio frequency identification (RFID) system, namely, the RFID-tag and the bending effect on its electrodynamic parameters. The RFID tag was modeled and the following parameters were calculated: Scattering Coefficients (parameter S11), Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), vertical and horizontal radiation patterns and total. The results of the ...
