The article is devoted to V.V. Vodovozov’s tragic fate, a prominent political activist, scholar and publicist and his wife O.A. Vodovozova. V.V. Vodovozov, member of the Central Committee of the Labor people’s socialist party, fought against tsarism, trying to accelerate the revolution, but he did not accept the Bolshevik regime and emigrated. He failed to adapt in emigration and committed suicide in 1933 in Prague. His wife, O.A. Vodovozova, took a lethal dose of veronal on the fortieth day after the death of her husband.
