Because of the personal development contextuality, a lot of connections are non-linear. Importance of complementarity principle in the research on relationships between the person and his/her dasein is substantiated. In the empirical study, 160 respondents (Mage = 20.8, SD = 4.3, 121 females, 39 – males) participated. The connection between the home environment friendliness and psychological sovereignty levels was investigated. In general, the positive connection was revealed. But there were significant differences in the contrast groups: whereas in deprived respondents, positive links have been found in over-sovereign respondents, negative do. It is concluded that both synergetic and compensatory relationships between home environments and their inhabitants can exist.
