«Наши князи добри суть»: о сакрализации и десакрализации княжеской власти на Руси в X–XII вв.
The key question of the article is if the princes (kings) and their power was sacralised in whatever ways in Rus' before Christianisation. The famous tale about the murder of Igor, king of Rus', by the drevlyane (a tribe on the Dnieper) in the 940s is analysed. Special attention is given to the metaphor "good kings" which the chronicler ascribed to the drevlyane accusing Igor. Following usages of the metaphor in the chronicles the author shows the mental shift caused by the transition from paganism to Christianity.
