The information approach and terminologyfor defining and formalizing the concept of "quality of the digital image of the object" are proposed. The parameters and characteristics of an evaluation of image quality of different types of images which are taken on the stages of preparation, analysis and reconstruction of an image of the object are under considaration.
In the article the question of using terms in such field as digital image processing is under consideration. As well the main group of characteristics used in image recognition of objects is described.
The method of evaluation and selection of the type and quantity of primary projection information necessary and sufficient to ensure the specified accuracy control of geometrical characteristics of spherical micro-objects. The technique is intended for implementation on a computer using the simulation.
