This paper studies a model of game interaction with externalities on a network, in which agents choose their level of investment. We compare two concepts of equilibrium: standard Nash definition and “Jacobian” definition of equilibrium with externalities. It is shown that in both cases agents may be passive, active and hyperactive, and conditions for optimality of these types of behavior are derived. In particular, we study the case of a full homogeneous network and show that an increase in its size facilitates active state of agents but reduces their utility.
We continue the study (Matveenko, Korolev, 2015) of a Nash equilibrium in network game with production and knowledge externalities. It is proved that in complete network equilibrium exists only when all agents are homogeneous. The necessary conditions for linking a node to the other one that is already steady in the network are analyzed. On the basis of these results we deduce the conditions for equilibrium in prevailing kinds of networks: dyads and triads, according to their parameters.
We consider the problem of manipulability of social choice rules in the impartial anonymous and neutral culture model (IANC) and provide a new theoretical study of the IANC model, which allows us to analytically derive the difference between the Nitzan-Kelly index in the Impartial Culture (IC) and IANC models. We show in which cases this difference is almost zero, and in which the Nitzan-Kelly index for IANC is the same as for IC. However, in some cases this difference is large enough to cause changes in the relative manipulability of social choice rules. We provide an example of such cases.
This volume contains a set of dedicated scientific contributions to the 11th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research. The peer-reviewed and tentatively selected papers cover a broad scope of modern research in Business Informatics, and include new results in such domains as: Knowledge Management and Semantic Web, Business and information systems development, Business, people and systems interoperability and Business intelligence.
In 2012 the conference is hosted by National Research University Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE) in Nizhny Novgorod. Our university is Russia’s leader in the field of scientific research conducted at the junction of Management, Economics and Governance of IT. In particular, NRU HSE is the originator and the promoter of Business Informatics in Russia. Therefore NRU HSE pays particular attention to sustainable international cooperation and leverages scientific research in that area.
We strongly believe that materials presented will contribute to further advances in Business Informatics and will foster intensive scientific cooperation between researchers.
We consider certain spaces of functions on the circle, which naturally appear in harmonic analysis, and superposition operators on these spaces. We study the following question: which functions have the property that each their superposition with a homeomorphism of the circle belongs to a given space? We also study the multidimensional case.
We consider the spaces of functions on the m-dimensional torus, whose Fourier transform is p -summable. We obtain estimates for the norms of the exponential functions deformed by a C1 -smooth phase. The results generalize to the multidimensional case the one-dimensional results obtained by the author earlier in “Quantitative estimates in the Beurling—Helson theorem”, Sbornik: Mathematics, 201:12 (2010), 1811 – 1836.
