The article is devoted to the problem of combating the activity of destructive religious cults in the Far Eastern territory including the problem of crime detection and prevention of criminal activity connected with participation of citizens in religious organizations. The authors have thoroughly researched totalitarian and destructive activity of religious cults. The necessity of changing the Russian legislation concerning regulation of religious organizations is considered in the article.
