The European Union and the United States of America have been criticizing the Hungarian Prime Minister for more than a decade, but Viktor Orban remains in power for the fourth consecutive term, enjoying strong support from voters. In the 2022 elections, the coalition of Fidesz and the Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) retained an overwhelming majority in the Hungarian parliament.
Hungary's foreign and domestic policy, upon closer examination, develops into a certain interdependent system. Orban adheres to the postulates of classical real politics, does not forget the lessons of Hungarian history and follows the desire of fellow citizens to preserve the sovereignty of their country.
