Внутриполитическая борьба и положение в МПЛА в первой половине 1960-х гг.: новые документы из российских архивов
The published documents from the collections of the State Archive of the Russian Federation (GA RF) and the Russian State Archive of Contemporary History (RGANI) reveal the situation within the MPLA in the first half of the 1960s, as well as its place in the Angolan liberation movement during this period. The information contained in them also makes it possible to imagine under the influence of what factors ideas about certain anti-colonial movements in Angola were formed in
Moscow, which, from the point of view of Soviets, served as a sign of a genuine “progressive” movement. Such key factors included adherence or ideological affinity to Marxist ideology, uncompromisingness in the fight against the colonialists, refusal to cooperate with “imperialist” countries, support from other communist parties, and organizational “maturity”.
