The core of a modern university’s corporate culture is represented by the academic culture that can be
described in the sociolinguistic terms of academic discourse. The study of the corporate culture of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) shows that being considered significant by teachers and students the marks and the
components of academic discourse, the rituals and the values of academic culture, etc. also form the basis of the university’s positive reputation.
