"Другого такого не было и не будет": стенограмма лекции В.С. Баевского о Ю.М. Лотмане
In 2007 V.S. Baevsky gave a unique course of lectures "History of Science in Biographies of Scientists" for graduate students. At his lectures, Vadim Solomonovich not only recorded the movement of scientific thought in philology of the 20th century, but also showed what difficult paths the development of Russian science took in Soviet times. In this course V.S. Baevsky spoke with graduate students about the achievements in science of Yu.M. Lotman, A.N. Kolmogorov, R.O. Yakobson et al. Lectures by V.S. Baevsky are unique not only for their generalizing analysis of the creative path of a philologist, but also for the memories that Vadim Solomonovich included in the narrative. Realizing the value of V.S. Baevsky, his student, associate professor of the Department of Literature and Journalism, E.L. Kotova made a video recording of the course for graduate students. This publication is a transcript of the video recording of the first lectures of the course dedicated to the scientific fate of Yu.M. Lotman. Vadim Solomonovich had scientific and personal relations with Yuri Mikhailovich for many years and published his memoirs. In a lecture by V.S. Baevsky talks about what has not been published in other sources, and recreates the image of M.Yu. Lotman.
