The problems of digitalization of regional urban development activities come to the fore in the development of a new innovative regional economy. The paper presents a description of the main stages and achievements of the national regional digitalization in the field of urban development. The current state of digitization of regions is analyzed. A dedicated range of topical issues of digitalization and the ways of their solution. It is concluded that insufficient penetration of digital technologies in the field of urban planning due to the inertia of the regulatory framework and the high cost of professional software products.
