Протекционизм в торговле сельскохозяйственной продукцией ЕС — США: оценка переговоров Трансатлантического торгового и инвестиционного партнерства
The agricultural agenda of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnershipis evaluated (from the EU position). Special attention is paid to the prospects of removing regulatory differences and other non-tariff barriers. The current state of non-tariff barriers in agri-food trade between the EU and the U.S. is analyzed, the most sensitive barriers in the agri-food trade are determined. The prospects of the TTIP negotiations in agricultural and food issues are considered.
The role of patriotism conception in the functioning of the Russian food-sector is analyzed in this article for example in grain, meat and juice markets. The subject of the study is measures by which the government carries out a policy of import substitution and increase the export potential of agribusiness. Based on data from expert interviews and official statistics, the author develops the idea that the field of interpretive possibilities, relying on that food producers are trying to enlist the help of the government as a resource for business development, is hiding behind the notion of patriotism.

This article assesses the level of openness of Russian economy. It is shown that the open-ness indicators used in the Concept of Long-term Social and Economic Development of the Russian Federation differ from those employed by international organisations. The present research analyses both the intensity of Russian trade in terms of its gross domestic product and the relative strength of import penetration in Russia. Methodological differences determine the differences in the analysis results.
This article describes the globalization – the most important process in modern economy across all countries. Does it have positive or negative economic consequences for France and its future? The origin of globalization, financial competition between European countries, protectionism measures and development strategy of countries until year 2020 are key questions raised by the article. The author invites the professional community to consider specific development measures of the France economy in the EU, in the context of increasing globalization.
This study analyzes the effects of reducing trade barriers in the context of the objectives of competition policy. Separate chapters are devoted to the assessment of the height of Russian trade barriers, the analysis of the impact of international trade on domestic prices and concentration of production.
