The article describes the key features of generation Z employees, which determine their desire for certain types of rewards, in comparison with representatives of other generations (X, Y). The main methods of research were comparison of the generation values and the motivational profiles of V.I. Gerchikov, and the analysis of the responses to the questionnaire of job satisfaction (ENPS). It was revealed that each generation has its own predominant motivational profile, which corresponds to the values of the generation representatives. Proposed recommendations focused on employee retention and increasing the productivity of labor.
A.Herzen as a scholar of contemporary history: Polish aspects. Herzen considered the Polish national movement as the main ally of Russian revolutionaries in their struggle against autocracy and highly appreciated the Poles' sacrifice. However the moderate nature of Polish social doctrine and demands to restore the former eastern border of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth caused Herzen's critical evaluations. The Polish partners of Herzen were not ready to share all of his ideas. Differences of the programs complicated Russian-Polish revolutionary cooperation. Analyzing the Russian-Polish relations of the last three decades, Herzen proposed his own vision of the Russian Empire's contemporary history.
People who were born in the USSR in the 1970s and were in their thirties at the time of my fieldwork in 2009–11, questioned their adulthood in ways that are different from other parts of the world. Whereas many others are finding adulthood “unattainable” or “elusive” (see Durham’s introduction to this volume), perestroika teens wonder whether adulthood had somehow passed them by. Given the intersection of culture, history, and personal experiences, many find their adulthood fleeting, squeezed between being “too young” and “already old.” The maturation of perestroika teens was already questionable because lingering Soviet ideals glamorized childhood and youth as the locus of moral agency, contrasted with the “unmarked” (see introduction), but vaguely traumatic and morally compromised by routine, world of adults. This departure from a “happy Soviet childhood” was further complicated by the disappointments of the 1990s when none of the various social and moral strategies helped them build a good foundation for a professional career. In 2010, they often felt they belonged “neither here, nor there”; in other words, split between Soviet and post-Soviet moral orders, and between their glamorized childhood and questionable adulthood. A growing realization that being just a few years older or younger would have changed their life opportunities and the way they experienced adulthood reinforced the disappointment. Finally, pro-natalist policies and discourses that dominated the public sphere in Russia in the 2000s helped to seal the “has-been, already old” sentiment among these men and women.
This classic survey considers passive scalar and vector transport processes in a random nonstationary medium, which are described by linear parabolic equations. Integration over random paths is used, along with the asymptotic behavior of the product of a large number of independent identically distributed random matrices. The most interesting effect is the appearance of concentrated structures (intermittency) of a smooth initial distribution of the transported quantity. The occurrence of intermittent distributions in the linear problem is due to the fact that the coefficients of the transport equation are stochastic. The intermittency shows itself in the rates of exponential growth of the successive moments (Lyapunov exponents) as the moment number increases. Moment equations are obtained for the scalar and vector, and are used to study temperature evolution and magnetic-field generation in a random fluid flow. These equations are differential in a medium with short time correlations and integral in the general case. The range of application of the diffusion description is analyzed. The behavior of the diffusion coefficients in the case of time reversal is examined. The properties of an individual realization of a scalar and vector are also explained, and a dynamo theorem is given on the exponential growth of the magnetic field in a random flow with renewal.
Editors Neal Chalofsky, Tonette Rocco, and Michael Lane Morris have compiled a collection of chapters sponsored by the Academy of Human Resource Development that provide revolutionary insight into the concepts, theories, research initiatives, and practical applications essential to HRD. Anthropologists have not found a consensus on the definition of the concept of culture. “Perplexity and even anguish over culture have been with us a long time” (Fox & King, 2002, p. 1). Similarly, there is no agreement of on the concept of organizational culture. In very simple terms, organizational culture has been often described as “how we do things around here” (Fullan, 2001). The concept of organizational culture started first in the U.S. management literature in the 1960s and was later adopted by researchers in other countries and other disciplines, including human resource development (HRD). The purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of the concept of organizational culture and position the concept within HRD. The organization of the chapter will follow the title: from the past research in related disciplines to the state of organizational culture research and practice at the moment to the directions for future research within HRD.
Nowadays Russian drug market structure is inefficient in terms of high level of branded generic drugs. This requires improvement of policy measures in order to increase the affordability of innovative drugs, both domestic and imported. The paper describes special features of Russian pharmaceutical market and investigates how drug policy instruments affect the commercial market structure, focusing mainly on incentives to launch and sell innovative drugs.
Smoking is a problem, bringing signifi cant social and economic costs to Russiansociety. However, ratifi cation of the World health organization Framework conventionon tobacco control makes it possible to improve Russian legislation accordingto the international standards. So, I describe some measures that should be taken bythe Russian authorities in the nearest future, and I examine their effi ciency. By studyingthe international evidence I analyze the impact of the smoke-free areas, advertisementand sponsorship bans, tax increases, etc. on the prevalence of smoking, cigaretteconsumption and some other indicators. I also investigate the obstacles confrontingthe Russian authorities when they introduce new policy measures and the public attitudetowards these measures. I conclude that there is a number of easy-to-implementanti-smoking activities that need no fi nancial resources but only a political will.
One of the most important indicators of company's success is the increase of its value. The article investigates traditional methods of company's value assessment and the evidence that the application of these methods is incorrect in the new stage of economy. So it is necessary to create a new method of valuation based on the new main sources of company's success that is its intellectual capital.

At present many industries reveal tendency for setting up of vertically integrated companies (VIC) the structure of which unites all technological processes. This tendency proved its efficiency in oil industry where coordination of all successive stages of technological process, namely, oil prospecting and production -oil transportation - oil processing - oil chemistry - oil products and oil chemicals marketing, is necessary. The article considers specific features of introduction of "personnel management" module at enterprises of oil and gas industry.
