Философия насилия и сакрального Жоржа Батая и Рене Жирара в сравнительной перспективе
Researches in Religious Studies. 2017. № 1(15). С. 29-72.

The article represents an attempt of comparative research of the two French philosophers' theories: George Bataille and Rene Girard. Hypothesising their extreme similarity in some aspects, the authors compare their ideas on three main subjects: murder and sacrifice as social solidarity's bases; concepts of myth and tragedy as the mechanisms translating the message about the foundational violence and the reasons of their decline in the modern world; finally, the principles of the violence and the sacred's work in connection with a group of notions representing absence, as well as procedural or instantaneous destruction of any borders, primarily with the concept of undifferentiation. The conclusion is drawn that the main difference between them lies in the premise of their thought, their perspective and values: Bataille speaks for sacrificial community, and Girard – from the perspective of an innocent victim, that was killed and deified for the sake of that community's existence.
