«Радио Свобода»: от истории к сценической интерпретации

The paper reviews a number of texts dealing with the history of American Russian-language radio, which are not well known in the Russian information space. In addition, the author analyzes some interviews (2013−2014) with Dr. Gene Sosin, one of the founders of the Russian service of Radio Liberty. Particular attention is paid to the editorial structure of the radio at the start of its existence and the broadcast programs. For the first time ever, the paper describes a play about Radio Liberty (A Comedy of the Cold War), whose text reveals some previously unknown details of the history of Radio Liberty and creates new legends about it.
