At HSE University–St Petersburg, Experts Discuss How AI Changes Tourist Routes and Cultural Heritage
Neural networks are no longer simple travel assistants; now they decide what to include on the route and what to skip. Artificial intelligence changes how people perceive a place and shapes the image of tourist centres. At the II International Scientific and Practical Conference ’Information Technologies in the Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage,’ researchers discussed who controls algorithmic solutions and in what ways, and whether authentic traditions get lost in them.

Review of Experience in the Use of Event-Related Potentials in Studies of the Implicit Component of Cognitive Biases

Neuroscience and Behavioral Physiology. 2025. Vol. 55. No. 1. P. 145–152.
Yatsenko M. V., Brak I. V., E. D. Artemenko

This review addresses the neurophysiological correlates of the implicit component of cognitive biases in perception and decision-making processes. The leading methodological algorithm for analyzing the implicit component of cognitive biases is defined and its selection is substantiated in terms of the objectives of this review. The method based on recording of event-related potentials (ERP) was chosen as the main approach to identifying neurophysiological indicators of implicit processes. Analysis of published data identified ERP components reproduced in studies reported by different authors addressing different types of implicit bias in perception and decision-making in humans, which may point to the existence of common neurophysiological mechanisms associated with implicit processes of bias in cognitive biases. The review also discusses the prospects of using other approaches to analyzing EEG data to obtain new information regarding the phenomenon of implicit bias in decision-making.

Четверикова М. М., Потемкин А. Н., Stepanova E., Бюллетень экспериментальной биологии и медицины 2026 Т. 182 № 9 С. 242–247
Gemcitabine, a first-line chemotherapeutic agent for bladder cancer (BC), often loses clinical efficacy due to the development of drug resistance, the underlying mechanisms of which remain poorly understood. In this work, a highly gemcitabine-resistant RT112/GR cell line was obtained by long-term selection. The MTT assay revealed a 9312-fold decrease in gemcitabine sensitivity and moderate resistance to cisplatin (2.60-fold, p ...

Molecular mechanisms regulating differential expression of individual miRNAs within polycistronic clusters
Maltseva D., Tonevitsky A., Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences 2026 Vol. 13 P. 1–28
MicroRNA (miRNA) genes are frequently located in close proximity within the genome, forming so-called clusters. These clusters are transcribed as polycistronic units, suggesting coordinated transcriptional regulation of the miRNAs they contain. However, individual mature miRNAs from the same cluster often accumulate at varying levels and exhibit distinct tissue-specific expression patterns, indicating the presence of regulatory ...
