HSE Scientists Train Neural Network to 'Hear' Faults in Electric Motors
Researchers at the AI and Digital Science Institute of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science have developed a new method—the Signature-Guided Data Augmentation (SGDA) framework—that achieves 99% accuracy in motor fault detection and 86% accuracy in fault classification. The application of this approach can reduce industrial equipment repair costs, minimise downtime, and improve production safety. The study results have been published in Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence.

Is It Possible to Predict a Citys Life Based on the Shape of Its Neighbourhoods?
Is it possible to predict, based on the configuration of streets and buildings, where a café will open or where traffic congestion will occur? Participants in the Spatial Analysis and Modelling of Urban Processes research and study group use open data and machine learning to identify universal patterns. Application of GR practices for the implementation of projects in the Iranian agricultural sector by Russian companies

This article examines GR practices that can be applied by Russian companies in the agricultural sector of Iran. In the context of sanctions and restrictions imposed on Iran, it is important for Russian agribusiness to understand the specifics of interaction with Iranian authorities and key economic structures in order to promote its interests. The article analyzes the socio-economic indicators of Iran, the current conditions of international trade, as well as the prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector. The study of GR practices for 2023 showed that effective mechanisms of interaction between executive authorities and foreign suppliers and investors, including representatives from Russia, have been successfully established in Iran. The purpose of the article is to summarize the accumulated experience of cooperation between the two countries and highlight effective GR practices for promoting the interests of Russian agribusiness in Iran.
