At HSE University–St Petersburg, Experts Discuss How AI Changes Tourist Routes and Cultural Heritage
Neural networks are no longer simple travel assistants; now they decide what to include on the route and what to skip. Artificial intelligence changes how people perceive a place and shapes the image of tourist centres. At the II International Scientific and Practical Conference ’Information Technologies in the Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage,’ researchers discussed who controls algorithmic solutions and in what ways, and whether authentic traditions get lost in them.

Рекордный рост температуры Кюри вплоть до комнатных значений в нецентросимметричном магнетике Mn1−xRhxSi

Письма в Журнал экспериментальной и теоретической физики. 2025. Т. 121. № 2. С. 121–128.
Demishev S. V., Краснорусский В. Н., Оськин А. Е., Боков А. В., Зибров И. П., Саламатин Д. А., Семено А. В., Сидоров В. А., Энкович Э. ., Бражкин В. В., Цвященко А. В.

Magnetic properties of Mn1 xRhxSi solid solutions with non-centrosymmetric structure B20 synthesized at high pressures and temperatures (8 GPa, 1500-1770 K) were studied in detail in a wide temperature range of 2-300 K in a magnetic field of up to 9 T. For compositions from the range 0.15≤x≤0.8, an anomalous increase in the Curie temperature TC by 8.4-11.5 times was detected compared to pure spiral magnet MnSi. It was found that TC increases with rhodium concentration to values of TC (x=0.15)=2444 K, TC (x=0.4)=2995 K and TC (x=0.8)=3346 K. Uniquely high values of the magnetic transition temperature up to room values arise in the disordered ferromagnetic Griffiths phase and may be a consequence of the spin-fluctuation mechanism of magnetic interaction enhancement.

Sandpile Cellular Automata with Manna Rule on the Chung-Lu Graph: Application to X Social Network
Dmitriev A., Kornilov V., Batienkov R., Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering 2026 Vol. 886 P. 249–255
Numerous studies have provided compelling evidence that the probability distribution of avalanche sizes follows a power law, and that 1/f noise is present in the stochastic dynamics of landslides. We present a theoretical explanation of these phenomena within the framework of self-organized criticality theory, proposing a discrete-time model in the form of a sandpile cellular ...

Sandpile Cellular Automata with Manna Rule on the Chung-Lu Graph: Application to X Social Network
Dmitriev A., Shulman I., Lebedev A., Studies in Computational Intelligence 2026 Vol. 1265 P. 266–273
A discrete-time model is presented for the self-organization of the X/Twitter social network to the edge of a phase transition, characterized by avalanche-like propagation of information in the network. The model is based on the analogy between the critical dynamics of the X social network and sandpile cellular automata with Manna rule on the Chung-Lu ...

Неравновесное состояние в квазиодномерных сверхпроводящих каналах
Arutyunov K., Kharitonov I. A., Petrosyants K. O., JETP Letters 2026 Vol. 124 No. 6 P. 1–16
Superconducting properties of metallic micro- and nanowires can be entirely different from those of bulk superconductors. Of particular interest is the nonequilibrium current-induced state of a quasi-one-dimensional superconducting channel. The most interesting phenomenon here is the stepped I–V characteristic, explained by a process known as phase slip center activation. If the origin of such step-like ...

When universal machine learning models fail in capacitance prediction for carbon-based supercapacitors: Leakage-aware validation and electrolyte screening
Makarov D. M., Kalikin N., Fashchevsky K. A. et al., Electrochimica Acta 2026 Vol. 579 Article 150159
Machine learning (ML) has become a powerful tool for accelerating the development of carbon-based supercapacitors; however, most published models assume that a single predictive framework can describe both conventional porous carbons and hybrid carbon electrodes. Here, we test this assumption using a comprehensive benchmark dataset and an extended literature-curated dataset enriched with synthesis- and electrolyte-related descriptors. Three ML algorithms ...

Ranging Precision Comparison of Direct and Non-Line-of-Sight LiDAR Systems Based on SNSPD
Махлуф М., Ozhegov R., Elezov M. et al., Фотоника 2026 Vol. 20 No. 6 P. 414–423
This paper compares the ranging precision of direct time-of-flight (dToF) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) LiDAR architectures, both using a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SNSPD). Both systems operate at 1550 nm with a 50 ps pulsed laser and time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC). The dToF configuration achieved approximately 100 µm precision at 10 m, while the NLOS configuration achieved 500 µm precision for ...

Demishev S. V., Доклады Российской академии наук. Физика, технические науки (ранее - Доклады Академии Наук. Физика) 2025 Т. 521 С. 31–38
A simple model of a disordered cluster ferromagnetic phase is proposed, in which magnetic disorder is determined by random local magnetic fields Hl with a power-law distribution function  (x < 1), which allows analytically describing the experimentally known magnetic properties of Griffiths ferromagnetic phases from a unified point of view, including the transition from the Curie-Weiss law ...

Nesting-driven ferromagnetism of itinerant electrons
Ya. I. Rodionov, Rozhkov A. V., Beck M. E. et al., Physical Review B: Condensed Matter and Materials Physics 2025 Vol. 112 No. 20 P. –
We theoretically investigate a model with electrons and holes whose Fermi surfaces are perfectly nested. The fermions are assumed to be interacting, both with each other and with the lattice. To suppress inhomogeneous states, a sufficiently strong long-range Coulomb repulsion is included into the model. Using the mean field approximation, one can demonstrate that, in ...

The Type-II/Type-I Crossover in Dirty Ferromagnetic Superconductors
Marychev P. M., Chen Y., The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters 2023 Vol. 14 No. 51 P. 11573–11579
In this work, we investigate the intertype (IT) domain in strongly disordered ferromagnetic superconductors with a Curie temperature lower than the superconducting critical temperature. In such unique materials, the coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism allows for the exploration of both unconventional superconductivity and the interplay between magnetism and superconductivity. The study utilizes an extended Ginzburg-Landau ...

Intertype superconductivity in ferromagnetic superconductors
Vagov A., Tiago T. Saraiva, Arkady A. Shanenko et al., Communications Physics 2023 Vol. 6 Article 284
In many pnictides the superconductivity coexists with ferromagnetism in an accessible range of temperatures and compositions. Recent experiments revealed that when the temperature of magnetic ordering Tm is below the superconducting transition temperature Tc, highly non-trivial physical phenomena occur. In this work we demonstrate the existence of a temperature window, situated between Tm and Tc, where these intrinsically type-II superconductors are ...

Controllable supercurrent in mesoscopic superconductor-normal metal-ferromagnet crosslike Josephson structures
Golikova T. E., Wolf M. J., Beckmann D. et al., Superconductor Science and Technology 2021 Vol. 34 No. 9 Article 095001
A nonmonotonic dependence of the critical Josephson supercurrent on the injection current through a normal metal/ferromagnet weak link from a single domain ferromagnetic strip has been observed experimentally in nanofabricated planar crosslike S-N/F-S Josephson structures. This behavior is explained by 0–π and π–0 transitions, which can be caused by the suppression and Zeeman splitting of the induced superconductivity due ...

High-field anomalies of equilibrium and ultrafast magnetism in rare-earth--transition-metal ferromagnets
Zvezdin A., Physical Review B: Condensed Matter and Materials Physics 2019 Vol. 100 P. 174427
Magneto-optical spectroscopy in fields up to 30 T reveals anomalies in the equilibrium and ultrafast magnetic properties of the ferrimagnetic rare-earth–transition-metal alloy TbFeCo. In particular, near the magnetization compensation temperature, each of the magnetizations of the antiferromagnetically coupled Tb and FeCo sublattices show triple hysteresis loops. Contrary to state-of-the-art theory, which explains such loops by ...

Сooper pair splitting in ballistic ferromagnetic SQUIDs
Stroganov P. L., Ya.V. Fominov, Physical Review B: Condensed Matter and Materials Physics 2017 Vol. 96 No. 17 P. 174508-1–174508-13
We consider ballistic SQUIDs with spin filtering inside half-metallic ferromagnetic arms. A singlet Cooper pair cannot pass through an arm in this case, so the Josephson current is entirely due to the Cooper pair splitting, with two electrons going to different interferometer arms. In order to elucidate the mechanisms of Josephson transport due to split Cooper pairs, we ...
