The article analyzes public health as a key aspect of the well-being of society and
the state. The author emphasizes the comprehensive nature of health, including physical, mental, and
social well-being. Special attention is paid to the idea of public health as a set of characteristics for each
individual, controlled by the state to achieve a certain level of health for the entire population. The aim of
the research is to form an understanding of human body images in the system of normative legal regulation
in terms of public health. The need to achieve a certain level of public health is the basis for standardization
and the formation of a certain image of individual physicality.
