Большая история места как выход за пределы привычного
The work is devoted to expanding the scope of research on the history of a place and incorporating the study of nature in its structure on equal terms with society. Declarations about the necessity of such an approach are well known, but a mechanism for its implementation has not been found in the literature. The main task here is to ensure the integrity of the description (representation) of events in both nature and society of the place. To achieve this, it is proposed to use the history of the development of a significant natural object of the studied place, tracing it from its geological origin to its current use by humans. Such a broad time frame leads us to the concept of a “big history of a place”, a renewed conceptual framework and new opportunities in additional education for schoolchildren. The paper also illustrates an example of using the big history of a place in the school museum-laboratory in the Tver Oblast.
