In the research field of corporate performance management (CPM) the new “second generation” of scientists is gradually forming, while the key role of the “first generation” of leading scholars is preserved. Considering the structural changes in socio-economic processes, the existing research due to obsolescence does not cover a significant period in the development of the field of research. The purpose of this paper is to present a picture of historical development and current research trends in the field of CPM based on Scopus database. An integrated approach based on bibliographic and clustering methods allowed to identify the most perspective research directions in the field of CPM, which have not lost their relevance over the last 40 years.
