The book examines Soviet psychology in two key senses - as a stage in the development of psychological science and as the psychology of Soviet people. A number of psychological theories developed in the Soviet period are analyzed in connection with the peculiarities of that time. More private psychological subjects are also considered - the study of the psychology of morality at the Institute of Psychology of the USSR Academy of Sciences, the peculiarities of the Yaroslavl psychological school, and others. A general psychological portrait of the Soviet man as a product of history is presented.
