The Russian window industry is experiencing difficulties related to a decrease in the purchasing power of citizens due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Russian economic sanctions. Windows are not essential goods. Therefore, the window industry has faced a slump in demand for products and a decrease in the business profitability. To normalize the indicators of economic activity, enterprises need to develop production process models that would allow forecasting financial results. The discrete-event simulation concept implies the development of a model of the production system in the form of a technological sequence for the production of double-glazed units for PVC windows. The model considers a flow of requests for doubleglazed units, the necessary equipment and resources, as well as evaluates the main performance indicators of the enterprise. In terms of the model, the article provides a scenario analysis for various levels of demand. The proposed model makes it possible to reproduce the functioning of the production system based on a set of variables that characterize the cost of the main production resources and current orders of the enterprise. It can be useful to doubleglazed units manufacturers and simulation modeling experts.
