Христианская лексика в IT дискурсе: функциональный и когнитивный аспекты
The article considers words with Christian precedence (associated in the minds of speakers with Christian culture) in the discourse of the IT sphere: apostle, evangelist and visionary. An attempt is made to formulate and define their discursive and conceptual meaning and to establish their functional status. Based on the analysis of the use of these words, the conclusion is made that the analyzed lexemes retain their expressively lofty coloring in IT communication, acquiring at the same time a pronounced terminological character. Despite the universal nature of Christian precedence, all the words listed are semantic calques from English professionalisms of the corresponding sphere and have in the Russian-language IT discourse meanings not based on the primary interpretations in the common Russian language. The conceptual metaphor represented by these lexemes is also borrowed through semantic calcification, which is of particular interest for further axiolinguistic research.
