The article presents the experience of cooperation between the federal project of Russian hospital schools “UchimZnaem” and the National Research University “Higher School of Economics”. Options for tasks that are given to students to create their own educational materials are justified and presented. A criterion-based system for assessing work completed by students is described, which largely fulfills the task of selecting a bank of didactic materials. These educational materials can later be used by tutors and teachers of hospital schools who work with children undergoing a long-term treatment.
