The chapter “Features of the organization of local self-government in certain territories” reveals the specifics of the legal regime of municipal authorities, due to the extraordinary combination of goals and objectives of management that has developed on the territory of individual municipalities. Thus, the authors characterized the features of the implementation of local self-government in cities of federal significance, closed administrative-territorial entities, science cities, border territories, federal territories, as well as other territories with a special status.
