The textbook discusses the main features of the project finance mechanism, key indicators of investment projects and the peculiarities of their practical application, the basics of financial mathematics, and approaches to forecasting the main income and expenditure items, discounting of cash flows, bank requirements to the financial model of a project and clear presentation of information in the business plan, as well as specific tools of project finance, and examples of mistakes.

We took into account our experience in major investment projects across various industries, as well as experience in teaching corporate finance, audit, business and asset valuation disciplines at many Russian universities (St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Higher School of Economics) and for business programmes for the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Russia, VEB.RF, KPMG, Russian Railways etc.
