The textbook is intended for students of humanities and, in particular, history faculties who are starting to study French as a language of specialty. In addition, the course can be recommended to students interested in the history of France and Russia, high school students of schools with in-depth study of the French language, as well as a wide range of people whose foreign language competence corresponds to level A2-B1 of the European language portfolio. Studying the history of France in parallel with Russian history contributes to a deeper and better understanding of the history and culture of the two countries.
