Роль политического мифа в современном политическом порядке метамодерна
Myths explain to people how to live with time, not against it. They are a guarantee of preserving historical memory, building the continuity of epochs, as, for example, modernity was followed by postmodernity, and then by metamodernity.
The present political order of metamodernity is characterised by the combination of opposing political myths (as exemplified by the harmonious coexistence of the myth of globalisation and the myth of identity) and the creation of new mythological constructs, such as the electoral image of E. Macron - "the candidate of all Frenchmen". Metamodern brings to the fore the question of harmonising opposites in the current political agenda.
"Fluctuation is the natural order of the world," Turner proclaimed in his metamodernist manifesto. Thus, the role of political myths is to structure, explain, combine different meanings, and simply be remembered in the mass consciousness, despite widespread oscillation-metamorphosis.
