This chapter examines the concept and system of sources of social security law, analyzes the main approaches to their classification, examines the main sources of social security at the federal level, as well as sources of social security in some subjects of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Moscow region, Belgorod region, Volgograd region, Yaroslavl region and others). The author analyzes the problems of codification of social security legislation in certain regions and the reasons preventing its codification at the federal level. Special attention is focus on the regulation of social security relations by acts of local authorities and agreements in the field of social partnership.
