The monograph presents the results of an empirical study of the components of gender mentality in German culture: it examines the background of gender issues, presents, on the one hand, the traditional attitude towards gender roles recorded in language and literature, on the other hand, it shows significant shifts in the content of the German mentality towards egalitarian gender norms.
