In numerous studies on Speransky, there has been a tradition of studying his reformatory activities and religious and mystical views separately, which only rarely attracts the attention of researchers. At the same time, the most active period of Speransky's reforms (1809-1812) is characterized by an increased interest in religious and mystical theories. The article poses the question of the connection between Speransky's reform projects and his religious ideas. On the basis of unpublished sources it is shown that the reformatory project of Speransky was conceived by him as a phase in the implementation of a global religious and mystical transformation of society.
