The article is devoted to the development of flexible forms of employment in the USA. Distance employment is considered in detail. The suitability of the professions for remote work is shown. Such phenomena as zoom towns and 15-minute cities are considered in the context of the transformation of small towns into modern ecosystems to support remote work. Surveys of employers and employees indicate a fundamental shift, the nature of social and labor relations is changing, there is a transition to a new working environment. A hybrid work environment seems promising, in which an employee works remotely for 3-4 days. Teleworking is one of the tools that help employers attract, recruit and retain the best employees. The attribution of remote employment to nonstandard forms will disappear as this method of labor organization expands
