Феномен присутствия в процессе психотерапии: исследование опыта клиентов
The article presents the results of the qualitative study focused on the phenomenon of presence in psychotherapy. Both the importance of the presence of the psychiatrist and the lack of the unified description of the phenomenon within the range of psychotherapeutic schools have provoked the author’s interest in the subject. The aim of the study is to define the components, the genesis and the dynamic of the client’s experiencing of the phenomenon during psychotherapy. The author has conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with the clients who have been doing therapeutical sessions regularly for at least half a year and more and who have subjective experience of going through the phenomenon of presence while cooperating with the psychiatrist. The phenomenological description method was applied to process the texts obtained as a result of the interviews. Eventually, the model was developed to have revealed the prerequisites, the process of experiencing the presence, the effect made and the dynamics. In addition, the authors were able to find out, to define and to describe the main features of the phenomenon of non-presence. The results obtained can be applied to develop the training techniques of the phenomenon, the exercises to teach the phenomenon and to be used while working with clients directly.
