Russian legislation provides for a reasonably effective procedure for enforcing arbitration awards, including those of Maritime Arbitration Commission at the RF Chamber of Industry and Commerce (MAC). Russian courts already have a lot of experience in this kind of cases. At the same time, international law has virtually universally accepted standards for court review of arbitration in proceedings for recognition and/or enforcement of arbitral awards. With correct application by national courts of these standards arbitration awards, including MAC arbitration awards, are enforceable in different countries in the world.
