Коммуникативные стратегии спортивных комментаторов (на материале соревнований по академической гребле)
The paper analyzes the recordings of two TV broadcasts of the 2018 and 2019
World Rowing Championships, each of which involves a pair of commentators,
one of whom is a journalist, and the other is a professional athlete in this sport.
The commentators' speech was annotated at the level of speech acts, which made
it possible to obtain numerical data on the use of certain types of speech acts by
different commentators, including the comparison of different stages of the competition,
to assess the level of information content, emotionality, and subjectivity
of the commentators' speech, to highlight the communicative tactics used by the
commentators, and to compare the broadcasts with each other. As a result of the
study, two commentators' speech strategies were formulated: informative-emotional
and informative-narrative. Both are aimed at attracting and maintaining the
audience's attention when watching a broadcast of a cyclical sport competition,
the main feature of which is the repetitive sequence of the same phases. While the
informative component is the same, the individual methods of influence, characteristic
for the broadcasters' speech, are different. In the first case, attention is attracted
by the expressiveness of Dmitry Guberniev's speech, in the second – by
the uniqueness of the information provided by Sergey Fedorovtsev.
