In the scientific monograph leading Russian specialists in German studies explore the most important political and economic processes in Germany in 2020 – the year in which the 30th anniversary of the country's unification was celebrated and the results of this complex process were summed up. The authors pay special attention to the coronavirus pandemic impact on the economy and politics of Germany of, incl. active state intervention in the regulation of economic processes. In the context of the crisis caused by the coronavirus, it continued the digital and energy transformation of the national economy. The pandemic has had an influence on the education sector, which was forced to switch to distance learning. In the context of the land elections, the situation in the etched parties and their prospects in 2021 is investigated, in which a new Bundestag will be elected and a new government coalition will be established. A detailed analysis of political and economic German-Russian relations is given, incl. in a new area of economic cooperation – hydrogen energy. New aspects of Germany's foreign policy cooperation with Africa are investigated.

В Германии сфера образования относится к общей компетенции федерации и земель. На уровне государства полномочия несут Федеральное министерство образования и научных исследований (BMBF) и Федеральное министерство труда и социальных дел (BMAS).
