КОНЦЕПЦИЯ СЕРЕБРЯНОГО ВЕКА В ЛИТЕРАТУРЕ РУССКОЙ ЭМИГРАЦИИ ПЕРВОЙ ВОЛНЫ: ПОЗИЦИЯ С. К. МАКОВСКОГО

The article reconstructs the emergence and development of S. K. Makovsky’s concept concern-ing the poetic hierarchy of the 1910s. The outline of the balancing of the literary forces, refl ected in his memoirs Portraits of the Contemporaries and On Parnassus of the Silver Age, began to take shape in his dispute with V. M. Zhirmunsky’s article Overcoming Symbolism. Apart from the memoirs, the concept of the memoirist is revealed in Makovsky’s notes on the synopsis of this article and in his notebooks.
