The Private Military Companies constitute one of the speediest developing branches of the contemporary economy. Unlike the private companies producing arms, these companies do participate in the arm conflicts. There are several divisions of PMC, which may be classified on the basis of their closeness to the «point of the spear» from the companies providers of ammunition and logistics, to the companies participating directly in warfare. The emergence of such companies causes a great deal of ethical and moral-political problems. Such as: Does the nature of the state necessary change with the decline of the state monopoly on violence? Does the nature of the war change? Are the principles of just war and humanitarian law still applicable with PMC? Are the PMC still mercenaries? The majority of these questions still have no definite answers.
