Менеджмент в спорте или в спортивной индустрии?
Sport, as part of public policy, the service sector and business, is very acutely experiencing the crisis associated with the consequences of the pandemic. Some organizations are turning to the state for help, others are revising mutual obligations with contractors, still others are trying to integrate Olympic traditions into the changed structure of relations and the new reality, and still others are actively exploring the virtual space for the possible continuation of projects. It is important to note that it is difficult to obtain measurable indicators of losses and losses, since the topic of balancing sports performance and economic efficiency in sports has not become a dominant in the market. Commerce triumphs over other goals. The dominance of management and economics in all spheres of public life in the last quarter of a century has forced us to pay attention to the nature of the emerging relationships in sports and in the sports industry, thanks to the onset of a pandemic. We assume that the imbalance in the categories “object” and “subject” (sport and sports industry) is due to the fact that the emergence of a large number of business solutions and practices have drastically reduced the importance of the sport itself, along with communities of people who form and develop values and traditions various sports disciplines and competition formats. A very significant role is played by the model of sports management in the country and statistical records. In countries with bureaucratic or missionary models of sports management, economic performance is almost always secondary, after sports performance and political goals. The economy of sports has an accounting system in only 15 countries of the world, and the economy of the sports industry is not yet institutionalized and develops chaotically.
