Abstract: This article analyzes the role and specifics of the legal status of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the specifics of its creation and functioning, gives a brief overview of the most important cases of the Court of Justice of the European Union as an illustration of the influence of these cases on the formation of the autonomous legal system of the EU, and, as a consequence, on the development of European integration processes.
